RELIABILITY-CENTERED MAINTENANCE (RCM) STUDIES TO OPTIMIZE MAINTENANCE COSTS

Establish the right level of maintenance to ensure cost effective, reliable and safe operation of the equipment:

• Reduce operational costs
• Achieve high technical reliability
• Reduce costs of maintenance and Docking period (spare parts, shipyard and service engineers)
• Achieve high level of safety

Our Maintenance Engineering team follows all the certified process to run this RCM study: data collection, Operational Context documentation, FMEA study, Cost/Benefit analysis.
Then the final review of the RCM maintenance plan with the Customer for approval takes place, and optimization of vessel maintenance plan in PMS as result.
One year later, we can also run a return on experience study (Retex), to check if expected savings are not far from reality.
